What have we here then? Recently uncovered beneath the floor slab of a conservatory, removed to make way for a single-storey extension, this well is of neat brick construction with a narrow neck bellying out to about 1m across, and extending to about 3m deep. Obviously still collecting water, albeit pretty silty at the moment, our clients are considering: should it stay or should it go?
