This week we received Planning Consent on two more projects in the local area. Firstly, a dynamic side extension to a home in Stoke Hill, which replaces existing outbuildings and makes good use of the falling ground levels to create a spacious vibrant living space. Secondly, and after much debate, proposals to extend a Listed property in Topsham. The subject of much negotiation, this project has required careful consideration of the most appropriate ways of working with the heritage asset. [...]

Whilst away this weekend we parked quite fortuitously right next door to St Ives Brewery’s brand new cafe and brewery. A simple new building straddling quite quietly the old public toilets, it is crisp and clean and enjoys expansive views over the whole of St Ives and it’s beaches. We’ve been away this weekend and stayed in a great little YHA on the fringes of the Eden Project site. Fantastically re-using shipping containers to form tiny bedrooms (with en-suites!) they fit the bill perfectly for a comfortable place to lay your head in between re-exploring St Ives, the Cornish coast and of course the Eden Project. We love this innovative, sustainable and fun, bright back-to-basics re-imagining of budget accommodation.
