We all know that light pollution is at a minimum in the least developed parts of our country; now the Campaign for Rural England has released interactive maps revealing the country’s least and most light-polluted areas. It’s not a surprise that London contains 19 out of England’s 20 brightest areas; we’re pleased to note that West Devon is near the top of the list in dark spots. So, get out on Dartmoor and enjoy the view – upwards, at night! And don’t forget to turn the lights off. See CPRE’s press release here, with links to satellite maps.
